Workshop Renovation 2005 November 06, 2005 Still working on the new coffee and coke bar for the workshop. Today I added the portion that will be wheelchair accessible for Cindy. Will need to find some tile that will match my workshop color scheme.
November 07, 2005 Getting ready to paint the kitchen, dining room, and den. Removed the wallpaper in the den and dining room without extreme difficulty. Below is the wall prep done before painting:
November 07, 2005 Started painting the dining room below the chair rail today. Looking good so far ...
Got the new walls sanded and primed in the kitchen area:
November 09, 2005 Got most of the dining room finished last night ...
November 11, 2005 Finished painting the den and dining room ....
November 13, 2005 Did some more on the coffee and coke bar in the workshop ... got the trim up around the lower section and got the upper section cut to fit.
November 20, 2005 Well, while we had most of the furniture out of the den, we decided to put in new carpet ... here it is:
November 27, 2005 Decided to cut up the new carpet and install tile at the door. The process is a bit scary, since the carpet is soooooooooooooo new, but I just had to see if I could do this !
Above is the carpet cut precisely to the dimensions I will need for the tile. You can still see a little of the carpet pad around the edge, as I had to cut the pad out about an inch and a half under the carpet so I could install tack strips to hold the carpet down. Once I had done that, I was able to install Durock as the base for the tile, and in the picture below. Now all I have to do is cut the tile and install it ... wish me luck !
