Workshop Renovation

November 2, 2003

Finally getting around to painting the walls !  The official colors of Night Sky Workshop are Pipe Smoke Gray for the walls and Geranium Red for the trim.  Damn, I have to admit it looks good !

Same colors from another angle ... and yes, I did it right !  Primed the trim and wall, the gave each two coats of paint.  I forgot to do the little end piece above ... was too excited about getting the main part painted this weekend !

My father just gave me his old table saw ... but it needed a 220 volt outlet to run.  So here I am ... messing with dangerous stuff again !  Got the outlet installed with the precision workmanship I am known for ... :-)

Here is the other end ... used a 10 gauge wire to handle the massive electricity that will be running through this.  Now all I have to do is connect it into the breaker panel without getting killed and I am ready to go !  Wish me luck !

Well, I installed the 10 gauge wire into the breaker panel without getting electrocuted, and it actually worked !  While I was over in that area, I decided to go ahead and paint the wall and door trim.  The paint brought out a few imperfections, so I spackled over them and will try and get those sanded out and painted over the weekend.

Here we have the orange 10 gauge wire, and next to it is the yellow 12 gauge wire that I will use along this side of the workshop so I will have access to 20 amp outlets should I ever need them.

The 20 amp circuits will have gray outlets and switches with red face plates, which just happens to match my color scheme !  I got the switches wired today, and plan to get this hooked into the breaker panel tomorrow.
