Workshop Renovation November 16, 2002
This is one of my new pegboards. The drywall underneath and to the right was the first piece to go up in this amazing workshop creation process !
This is the new window sill I created. It is extra wide to accommodate all the stuff I will inevitably end up laying there.
November 17, 2002
Today I finished trimming the window. Now I need to clean the window panes !
Also got some shelves installed above the pegboard.
November 21, 2002 I am now up to my forth piece of wallboard. Today I was able to prep the wall cavities and apply insulation. The only thing I forgot to do was move the outlet boxes out to be flush with the new wallboard going up, so I had to remove some of the staples to turn back the insulation to do this. This resulted in my first injury during this project. Click here to view the results of that wound. Caution: That link graphically displays blood escaping from my finger !
Casey decided to wake up and provide some assistance during this morning's activities !
Here is the area ready for the 4th piece of wallboard. Now to insert the insulation !
There we go ! All ready for the wallboard ! Even though the wallboard will only cover the next two wall cavities, notice I went ahead and put up the insulation for the next area. I was a bit slow in learning that it is very difficult to insert insulation under wallboard that has already been installed !
November 23, 2002 Braving freezing temperatures, I was able to get the fourth piece of wallboard installed this morning. Notice the precision cutting where the outlets boxes are located. How does he do that ?? Things have been moving along fairly nicely thus far, but we are about to encounter a challenge. Click here to learn more about this particular problem.
